This manual, The Engineer and Collective Bargaining: An Assembly of Factual Information Regarding Certain Aspects of Employment Conditions, covers a range of subjects regarding collective bargaining with which an employer should be familiar. Topics include the National Labor Relations Act, National Labor Relations Board cases, the Fair Labor Standards Acts of 1938 (or the Wage-Hour Law), Wage-Hour cases, the Walsh-Healy Public Contracts Act and the Bacon-Davis Act, sub-professional bargaining groups affiliated with organized labor, rights of employees, rights of employers, and labor legislation and implementing boards. This information will be of interest to an engineer working with collective bargaining.
