Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Structures Congress XII

Abstract:

The vocabulary of visual design and several generally accepted major principles of visual design are reviewed in order to provide a 'context' for case studies of award-winning timber bridges. In addition, to better clarify these principles they are specifically applied to 'generic' examples of present-day timber bridge designs.
