Abstract:

The cable-stayed bridge over the Karnali River in the Kingdom of Nepal was completed in 1992. Extensive wind tunnel testing indicated the likely wind response during construction. Several countermeasures were taken to prevent excessive vibrations and reduce the risk of damage.
