Abstract:

In Europe ATT-implementation projects are run both by PROMETHEUS (EUREKA) and DRIVE (Commission of the European Communities). Many of these projects are urban and inter-urban field trials and pilot installations. In order to achieve pan-European harmonism in technical and strategic questions of RTI-system implementation in a harmonized and politically agreed way. Within DRIVE ERTICO controls the so called topic groups, whose objective is to support RTI-exchange of information and results between projects and to finally submit harmonized functional, interface and database specifications to the European standardization organisations.
