Abstract:

A method is developed for the reliability analysis of degrading systems subject to random excitation. Elasto-plastic systems with degrading stiffness, thin plates with cracks and Daniels systems are discussed. The method is applied to estimate the reliability of degrading elasto-plastic systems subject to white noise.
