Abstract:

Finite element analysis with large number of elements are performed to simulate perfect disordered heterogenous material. The probabilistic nature of the micromechanical behavior of the material is studied to obtain the probability density function. Theory is developed to describe the macroscopic behavior based on the behavior of constituent elements.
