Abstract:

This paper intends to describe pros and cons of marina concepts in Denmark. The island marina concept, which has been developed and implemented, as opposed to the conventional marina concept, has demanded new ideas and created very attractive regions. The marina concept, where the berthing and the shore facilities are installed and functions on islands, has been introduced very successfully in several marinas in Denmark.
