Effects of Water Erosion Processes on Drainage and Irrigation Systems

by Peter G. Waldo, USDA SCS, United States,

Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Watershed Planning and Analysis in Action

Abstract:

This study examines the relationship between geomorphic processes and drainage/irrigation projects. It illustrates the method of geomorphic analysis by the study of a drainage project near Warsaw, Illinois. The study suggests some approaches for alleviating problems caused by geomorphic processes. The geomorphic approach may also be used for improving designs of new projects in the planning phases of development.
