Abstract:

This proceedings consists of papers presented at the 1990 Watershed Management Symposium held in Durango, Colorado from July 9-14, 1990. These papers present both research performed in the subject area and practical applications of watershed management practices. They discuss such topics as: 1) the impact of climatic changes, 2) the use of geographic information systems, 3) the effects of forest cover, 4) the processes of water erosion, and 5) the influence of tillage on hydrology. With these various presentations, this proceedings stresses the interrelationship of scientific research and practical applications, and therefore, helps to promote the use of sound watershed management practices.
