Abstract:

The bathymetry of the Tyrrhenian Sea in the area facing the electro-nuclear plant being built at Montalto di Castro, Italy, is reconstructed with the aid of the constrained kriging making use of local interpolation models. The estimation standard deviation maps show that the accuracy of the prediction is greater than the required tolerance and emphasize the convenience to design less dense and therefore less expensive recording networks.
