Abstract:

When the spiullways at Glen Canyon Dam were severely damaged from unexpected flooding in 1983, the Bureau of Reclamation had just 10 months to repair the tunnel spillway lining and build aeration slots. They had to cope with the limited site access, tight quarters, and water seepage. The spirit of cooperation between Burec and its contractors, Guy F. Atkinson Construction Co., led to the successful completion of the project.
