Abstract:

In this work, studies were made of two marshland sites shown on the old maps that presently remain subject to tidal action. For each site, historic maps dating from the 1850's were accurately placed in relation to detailed modern 1984 marshland maps prepared using low-level infrared tide controlled aerial photography inconjunction with recent land surveys.
