Abstract:

A significant amount of industry effort goes into project planning prior to preparation and submission of a permit application. Baseline studies are conducted, including preparation of geobotanical and surface hydrology maps. Facility configurations are analyzed from several angles, including environmental concerns. This paper is a case study of the Eileen West End Development area, where project planning was used to mitigate environmental losses.
