Is Your Firm Prepared to Do Infrastructure Work?

by Robert E. Hickman, Whitman & Howard Inc, Wellesley, MA, USA,

Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Management Planning for Survival and Growth

Abstract:

Using proper marketing analysis and techniques, multidisciplined firms can capitalize on a number of new business opportunities created by the country's current infrastructure program. More specialized firms may want to reconsider their current business strategies and diversify to take advantage of these new business opportunities. Each firm must have a mission statement. If a firm has a history and a mission statement focused on diversification, it has a good basis from which to grow. Diversified firms must periodically evaluate their strengths and weaknesses and work to improve, where necessary.
