Abstract:

The latest technology in airport design from the apron overlays to the terminal itself was incorporated at Orlando International, the nation's fastest growing airport. Now it can handle 12 million passengers a year. In a few years, it will be able to handle 24 million. Modern architectural design of the main terminal is a noteworthy feature of this project which also is recognized for innovations in the apron configuration and the apron drainage design. This project was a 1982 OCEA Nominee.
