Abstract:

Introductions for ASCE's 2012 Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement award finalists along with the acceptance speech of the winner, the Hoover Dam Bypass. Also shown are the introductions for and the acceptance speechesofthe recipients of the Outstanding Projects and Leaders award, the Charles Pankow Award for Innovation, the Henry L. Michel Award for Industry Advancement of Research, and the ASCE Excellence in Journalism award. The winners include Robert L. Bowen, Michael Abrahams, Clifford Schexnayder, Francis Lombardi, Thomas Warne, Jon Schmitz, Antonio Nanni, and American Engineering Testing, Inc./Cemstone Products Company. OCEA finalists include the Cherry Island Landfill Vertical Expansion Project,Nacimiento Water Project, US-191 Colorado River Bridge, and Willamette River CSO Tunnel Program.
