Abstract:

Hydrovac technology provides engineers and contractors with a unique solution for non-destructive excavating around sensitive buried lines. As a non-mechanical excavating method, it is a safe alternative to hand digging. In many situations, Hydrovacs are accepted by the petroleum industry (producers, pipeline companies, and contractors alike) and utility companies as the best practice for safely and cost effectively exposing any buried facility. It is the mission of Hydrovac technology to safely remove soil around buried utilities and underground structures. Hydro excavating process combines pressurized water and a powerful positive displacement vacuum system. This powerful combination allows excavating in the toughest conditions (including frozen ground), which has been a major advantage for companies throughout a large portion of North America.
