Abstract:

Most companies in the engineering and construction industry have had their own Web sites for some time. But experts warn that generating traffic from potential clients, job seekers and the media requires an ongoing marketing effort. Web site consultants recommend entering site design contests, registering with search engines, and offering links to online media centers, job postings, and other industry sites as methods of increasing the number of hits your site receives. Creating hook pages that focus on more general-interest informationwith links to your siteis another way to generate continuing interest. Promoting your Web site, like any other marketing activity, requires continual updates.
