Abstract:

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is evaluating the possibility of breaching four dams on the lower Snake River to improve salmon migration. Because significant infrastructure modifications are required as reservoirs are depleted and river conditions change, removing the dams could be as complicated as building them.
