Abstract:

A dimensionless database of previously executed simulations of sloping-border irrigation with tailwater runoff constitutes the heart of design-aid software showing the effects on runoff and deep percolation of variations in design and management variables. Studies of the results show what can be done to reduce tailwater runoff and deep percolation from such irrigations.
