Abstract:

Recent changes to the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) program require that storm water discharges associated with industrial activity be regulated under the NPDES program. How Air Force installations comply with the terms and conditions of the NPDES storm water permit is discussed. Central to the discussion is the joint effort between Air Force Space Command and EA Engineering, Science, and Technology to prepare Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans emphasizing best management practices.
