Sediment Transport Analysis Rio Grande Floodway at San Marcial Gauge

Abstract:

A detailed analysis of sediment transport data collected on Rio Grande Floodway at San Marcial gauge shows that the all-year total load rating curve and the seasonal rating curves yield consistent total load with a few percent difference between the two. No seasonal trend was found in the total load rating curve, however, the seasonal rating curves yield an 11-year total load somewhat less than the all-year rating curve. The all-year total load rating curve is the recommended total load rating curve for Rio Grande Floodway at San Marcial gauge.
