Abstract:

A study has been initiated to investigate the basin-wide impact of the 1993 Mississippi River Basin flooding on damage to the highway infrastructure. The study involves site investigations of damaged structures, analysis of failed structures, study of emergency relief funding reports, and categorization of specific infrastructure damages. This paper describes the study and presents preliminary findings.
