Abstract:

Genetic algorithms provide a methodology for searching a space and are typically associated with optimization or classification problems. The possibility for genetic algorithms to produce creative designs lies in the ability to juxtapose ideas from different design concepts and to search a space allowing the fitness function to evolve in response to the new population.
