Abstract:

Streamflow duration curves are a useful graphical and analytical tool for illustrating the relationship between the frequency and magnitude of daily streamflow. They are commonly used to solve a wide range of standard problems including hydropower, irrigation, water quality, instream flow, water supply, river and reservoir sedimentation. This study provides a brief review of some old and some new applications.
