Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Abstract:

CVEG 4803: Structural Loading course was formulated three years ago as an undergraduate senior elective course. In this course structural dynamics is introduced for one third of the course. IN the rest of the course dead, live, wind, snow, and earthquake loads on buildings are discussed using ASCE 7-88 and UBC 1991. Bridge loadings are introduced to calculate the design moments for slabs and beams using AASHTO (1989).
