Abstract:

This paper summarizes the out-of-plane testing and analytical modeling of a full-scale unreinforced masonry (URM) infilled frame and a bare frame without infilling. The testing was part of a comprehensive research program underway at the U.S. Department of Energy's Oak Ridge Y-12 Plant. The analysis method reproduced the actual crack propagation and load-deflection hystereses within ten percent throughout the loading cycle.
