Abstract:
During the recently completed Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP), there was insufficient time or funds to evaluate the inclusion of waste materials in asphalt paving mixtures. However, a project sponsored by the Clean Washington Center in Seattle, Washington will include a thorough evaluation of pavements with crumb rubber modified (CRM) asphalt mixtures. The project is currently underway and will be completed during the summer of 1993. The SHRP mixture tests are being conducted at Oregon State University and University of California, Berkeley.
