Abstract:

A framework is presented for a regionalization method with a region of influence (ROI) approach. The methodology explicitly incorporates a homogeneity test in the process of selecting the set of stations that comprise the region for a site of interest. The benefits of the methodology are demonstrated through the application for a set of stations in Manitoba and northern Ontario. The new regionalization method proved to be easy to implement and efficient in creating regions for the extreme flow analysis.
