Abstract:

The impact upon water quality of the planned expansion of a confined disposal facility (CDF) located in lower Green Bay was studied using numerical hydrodynamic and water quality models. These models were calibrated using field data from the period 1982 - 1984. Ten scenarios were run to determine the impacts on circulation patterns and dissolved oxygen levels resulting from the expansion. This paper focuses on results of the water quality portion of the study.
