Abstract:

The considerable decrease of the solid flow off in the sea coastal zone and the intensification of the abrasion impact on the shore determined the increase of the coastal protection activity on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. This, on its part contributed to the disturbance of the nearshore transport of sediments which disturbed the total equilibrium state of the existing beaches. On the basis of a tachometric registration of accumulative areas, with and without erected hydrotechnical constructions, an analysis is made in the present report of the general conditions of some more typical beaches of the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. On the basis of a comparative analysis the trends of their development within the last few years have been reported.
