Abstract:

An interactive multimedia environment has been developed to allow students and instructors access to digital images from case studies of structures and structural failures. In this multimedia environment, the users can also retrieve, arrange and display images for use in presentations. This paper describes (1) the technical aspects of the development of this system, (2) insights gained from its use and (3) the current version of the system in light of this experience.
