Abstract:

Seattle District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, has developed a family of reservoir guide curves that illustrate reliabilities when storage conditions gradually decline from 98% to as low as 50% reliability. The reservoir reliability guide curves are a result of a statistical analysis of calculated reservoir storage values. This paper discusses how the reservoir routing calculation was performed for the storages and time periods of interest.
