Abstract:

The paper describes the overall human factors program plan while providing more specific information regarding the critical areas of criteria development, dispersed control areas and key problem areas. The primary objective of Human Factors Engineering (HFE) is to improve human performance through enhancements in the work environment and man-machine interfaces to reduce human error and its potentially serious consequences.
