Abstract:

This paper discusses the current plans for the development of the Planning and Control segment of the SRWMS Transportation System. Each of the four Planning and Control subsystems are described. It is assumed that the CRWMS will be managed by a single management structure reporting directly to the OCRWM. The Transportation System will operate under this management, with each segment of the Transportation System reporting to a Transportation System Manager. Also described are the support activities essential for the Transportation System, the requirements for and the use of the planning documentation, their interactions, and the steps necessary to prepare for shipping campaigns, and the role of Traffic Management.
