Abstract:

This paper presents results of an extension to a study included earlier in these proceedings on the downstream accumulation effects of stormwater detention basins. The previously calibrated watershed model was used to investigate additional development conditions. The amount and location of development was varied to show the downstream accumulation effects of `correctly' designed stormwater detention basins. More emphasis on timing, volume, and peak flow conditions is warranted.
