Abstract: This proceedings, Water Resources Planning and Management: Saving a Threatened Resource?In Search of Solutions, contains papers presented at the 1992 National Conference on Water Resources Planning and Management, a component of Water Forum '92, Baltimore, Maryland, August 2-5, 1992. Some of the topics covered by these papers include: global warming; forecasting water demand; modeling groundwater management; managing dredge material; using geographic information systems; restoring wetlands; rehabilitating water resources infrastructure; and controlling contaminant transport. It also presents case studies in land use and water resource planning and management, and long term water resources planning and design. By stressing the need to efficiently use, protect, manage, and test surface and ground water, this proceedings enhances man's ability to control and protect his natural water resources.
