Abstract:

There are important connections between environmental natural resources and transportation policies and programs. Such links between air quality and transportation have been recognized and addressed in federal laws. This has not been done but needs to be done for the connection between water transportation and environmental protection. The failure to do that may lead to a serious spill catastrophe.
