Abstract:

The growth of commercial air traffic in the United States has resulted in the development of the 'New Denver International Airport.' the airside concourses were designed by joint venture architects, the Allred Seracuse Lawler Partnership of Denver and TRA of Seattle. This paper describes the processes with which they were conceived along with the resultant design relative to functional organization, architecture, passenger movement systems, interior finishes, airport continuity, and concourse identity.
