Abstract:

A new procedure which investigates inflation instability of cylindrical nonlinear membranes is developed. The general characteristics of inflation instability are described. An efficient approximate procedure then has been presented and the governing differential equations are transformed into a set of algebraic equations. Applying the approximate procedure, we have obtained some important concepts in stability (critical curves, critical parameters, etc.) and the distributions of inflation instability for given parameters.
