Abstract:
North Point Marina is a full service, 1493 boat marina constructed by the State of Illinois on the shoreline of Lake Michigan to serve boaters from northeastern Illinois. Because of its size and amenities and its location in a natural environment, North Point stands out as a unique facility. This paper discusses the seven year planning, design and construction sequence and the current operations of this world class marina.
