Abstract:

INRETS together with other partners, within the European DRIVE program framework is working on developing a system able to detect incidents on motorway by processing video images (Jref. JM Blosseville, 91). This paper describes the methodology used and the results obtained so far. The part of the prototype which has been tested, aims at detecting incidents associated with stationary vehicles.
