Abstract:

In this paper we present a new method for the detection of intrusions by means of stereo vision in order to infer 3D information from two linear sensors. This method can be used for security enhancement of underground transport systems. This new concept which consists in combining two parallel surveillance planes has been validated in an experimental station of the R.A.T.P. tube in Paris.
