Abstract:

The City of Tulsa is in the process of implementing a flood control plan for the 61 square-mile (158 km2) Mingo Creek watershed. The federally-assisted plan includes the construction of 23 stormwater detention storage facilities and seven miles of channel construction. This paper describes the planning, design and successful completion of a multi-purpose storage facility within an existing park along Mill Creek, a tributary to Mingo Creek.
