Abstract:

A hydraulic model study is being conducted at the Alden Research Laboratory, Inc. (ARL), to study the effects of adding a hydroelectric generating station at the site of an existing lock and dam. The model study is characterized by an extensive use of micro-computers. This paper describes some of this computer usage with respect to designing, building and conducting experiments with the model.
