Abstract:

This paper is intended to achieve two objectives: (1) providing the readers and participants of the 1991 ASCE National Conference on Hydraulic Engineering with background information about the Task Committee including its objectives, approaches, progresses and plans, and (2) encouraging both the experts in the field and the participants of this Panel Session, to criticize the approaches and the plan as well as to make valuable contributions to this task, which we believe, is very important to the advancement of the State of the Art in computational modeling of 3-D free surface flows.
