Abstract:

This paper presents the prefabrication concept applied to the Greenup (Greenup Locks and Dam, Ohio River, 72 MW, 1982) and the Sydney A. Murray, Jr. (Old River Control Structures, Vidalia, Louisiana, 192 MW, 1990) Projects. After giving some meaningful indicators, the possible evolution of the concept in the 90's is discussed as well as the benefits that might be expected from its development.
