Abstract:

This paper presents an overview of the results of a three year study to compile a database of stability parameters and foundation characteristics for older concrete gravity dams. The database provides a benchmark for results determined by site-specific investigations and, thus, provides credibility when such site data is presented to regulatory authorities in support of dam stability analyses.
