Abstract:

Nature-based tourism has a growing potential to provide rural coastal areas with a form of economic development compatible with conservation. Given the growing interest in nature-based recreation, and in particular, nonconsumptive activities, nature-based tourism enterprises should be considered when developing rural coastal economic revitalization strategies.
