Abstract:

Laser holographic interferometry was used for the evaluation of displacement fields on concrete and fiber reinforced concrete specimens. Transmission holography was used to analyze mortar specimens loaded in tension (compact tension) and dog bone shaped uniaxial tension fiber reinforced cement paste specimens were analyzed using double exposure reflection holography. In both cases the holographic images were acquired by a digital image analysis system. Then, the image analysis system was used for automatic fringe count (and thus displacement calculation) and crack spacing measurement.
